<image:title>Individual Therapy - Individual Therapy Services</image:title>
<image:caption>The therapy space might be where you practice showing up for yourself— where authenticity, curiosity and creativity are nourished without judgment. Maybe it’s where you unpack big or unknown feelings, and where you come up with new ways of navigating the complexities of life. It can also be a place where you honor what has helped you survive thus far, while experimenting with new or different ways of being. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to center your wants and needs in ways that trust your inner wisdom and expertise. Therapy sessions with me are 45-minutes in length. Sessions typically occur weekly or bi-weekly, on the same time/date each week. I meet with folks via telehealth video (my practice is 100% telehealth with no in-person sessions).</image:caption>

      <image:title>Introduction - About Me</image:title>
<image:caption>Kim Englehardt, LCSW (pronouns: they/them) I’m passionate about supporting people along their healing journeys and paths of self-discovery. I don’t believe we seek out therapy because we are “flawed” or because we need to be “fixed.” Instead, I view therapy as an act of empowerment and resilience when navigating challenging systems, -isms, circumstances and relationships. I understand the therapy space to be a place for learning and unlearning together- because we aren’t meant to do the work of navigating these systems alone in isolation. My own lived experience in relation to race, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, and my identity as an adoptee all drive my commitment to practicing from a place that holds space for - and celebrates- each person’s multiple and intersecting identities. In my work, I don’t operate from the role of “expert.” I see myself as a skilled and compassionate collaborator who shows up with curiosity and care as you navigate the cusps of your growing edges. Shedding light on our hidden spots and stretching beyond our current edges - in all of its excitement, vulnerability and discomfort- leads us to new places, new practices, and new ways of being with ourselves and others. This is some of the tender work that cultivates our sense of clarity and builds our capacity for holding multiple truths about ourselves and the world. I understand growth to be a lifelong, daily and gradual practice. I believe we are all deserving of opportunities for deep reflection and compassion throughout our unique journeys.</image:caption>

<image:title>Introduction - “We do this work because we live with the shadows of our collective pasts, but also because we know that a truly just future needs all of us in all of our magnificent complexities, in our human vulnerability and weaknesses, in our cultural work, in our very existence as exactly what and who we are.”</image:title>

Some of the theoretical perspectives that inform my work include: anti-oppressive practices, disability justice, intersectionality, relational approaches, attachment theory, mindfulness, and trauma-focused somatic-based modalities including: elements of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting and parts work.</image:caption>
